Products features
Luster: The fiber cross-section becomes more circularized + the surface orientation is improved. The yarn reflects light more directionally, and the fabric presents a "lustrous" feel rather than a "dull cotton feel" - this is the biggest selling point of the 50s silk-processed cotton and is also the core reason why the brand's POLO/T shirts are willing to charge a premium.
Dyeing performance: The amorphous area of the fiber increases the accessibility of dye molecules, resulting in a 15%–30% deeper color in the same bath and concentration. The deep colors (navy blue, black, wine red) are particularly noticeable; color fastness (resistance to washing/illumination) is also improved by 0.5–1 grade.
Strength: The strength of the single yarn is usually increased by 5%–15% (the crystalline area reorganizes after fiber swelling, plus the slight rebound of the yarn twist after silk processing), which is crucial for the 50s yarn which is "already thin and prone to breakage".
Featheriness: The silk processing solution, tension, and post-washing will "press out" some surface floating hairs. The H value is 10%–20% lower than that of the same yarn without silk processing. The fabric surface becomes smoother.
Size stability: After fiber swelling and tension shaping, the subsequent wet and hot processing (dyeing, washing, shaping) of the yarn has a more controllable shrinkage rate, and the finished product's shrinkage rate can be easily controlled within 3%–5% (while high-count cotton without silk processing often has a 5%–7% shrinkage rate).
Hygroscopicity: After silk processing, the yarn's hygroscopic rate slightly increases (the fiber's micropores increase), and the wearing comfort does not decrease but increases instead.

Core advantage
Lustrous like silk + Soft and breathable cotton: Combining "the luster of silk" and "the moisture absorption and breathability of cotton", this is the unique positioning that silk-textured cotton 50s cannot be replaced by.
High saturation of color + High color fastness: The dark color range stands out particularly. The brand's dark POLO/T shirts almost cannot do without silk-textured cotton.
High thread count and fine weave + Low pilling: 50s is already fine and smooth, and after Compact treatment, the pilling is extremely low. The fabric surface is smooth and can be printed or embroidered with LOGO.
Good size stability: Silk-textured + high thread count combing, the finished product's shrinkage rate is easy to control within 3%–5%, which is more stable than high-thread-count cotton without silk-texturing.
Application scenario
Premium T-shirts / POLO (Max Single): The textured 50s weave of the T-shirt gives it a "soft and smooth" feel. Dark colors like navy and black stand out particularly well. It is the standard configuration for Lacoste-style POLO and brand LOGO T-shirts. Double weave can also be made into a slightly thicker POLO using Ne 50/2 twisted together.
High-end underwear / home wear: Comfortable 24-hour wear, smoothness after silk finishing + low featheriness + low irritation, is half a level more comfortable than 40s/50s without silk finishing.
High-count knitted organza / Bari yarn (woven): Ne 50/1 or Ne 50/2 can be used to make high-count organza shirts. After silk finishing, the luster is close to that of silk, and it is the "benchmark configuration" for high-count shirt fabrics.
