Acrylic yarns are soft and comfortable, elastic, warm and light-resistant. Acrylic yarns are softer and more comfortable than other synthetic fibers, and their elasticity is second only to polyester and about twice as high as nylon. Their warmth retention is better than cotton and silk, but slightly inferior to other synthetic fibers. In addition, acrylic yarns have good light resistance, and their strength only decreases by 20% after one year of exposure to the sun, making them suitable for making outdoor fabrics.

Acrylic yarns have a wide range of applications, including clothing, home textiles and industrial uses. In terms of clothing, acrylic yarns are ideal materials for mid- to high-end clothing because of their softness, comfort, wear resistance and wrinkle resistance. In terms of home textiles, acrylic yarns are suitable for home textile products such as blankets, carpets and curtains because of their good warmth retention and waterproof properties. In industry, acrylic yarns are suitable for industrial products such as protective clothing, waterproof cloth and filters because of their good corrosion resistance and waterproof properties.

The production process of acrylic yarn includes the preparation and spinning of polyacrylonitrile fiber. Polyacrylonitrile fiber has high requirements on the purity of raw material acrylic resin, and the total content of various impurities should be less than 0.005%. The second monomer of polymerization is mainly methyl acrylate, the purpose of which is to improve the spinnability and the feel and flexibility of the fiber.
